The Dave of Pulah is a much famous. It is situated at Kalaban village of Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district of the state J&K.
Why is it called Pulah?

According to the local old aged people , it is called Pulah because a young Shepherd (Gudriya) was swimming in it and was suddenly drowned. As older said, the drowned man was a dweller of Surankote tehsil and he had come here in Kalaban village with his sheep. And that is why, it is called Pulah.
Jahlurah

According to some older of the area a dangerous water animal , Jahlurah is living permanently in it. And children advised to not swim in it.
